JLM Tuning Android App Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to the JLM Tuning Android companion app, version 2.0 and later, provided under the developer name JLM Tuning. It describes the app and enquiries you choose to send to JLM Tuning. Website checkout, payment, social-network and communication services have their own policies. Earlier app-builder releases may behave differently; this policy does not describe those older versions.

Information stored on your device

The Garage feature stores the vehicle year, make, model, engine/transmission and modifications you choose to save in the app's private storage on your device. The app does not send this saved profile to a server. The startup-sound preference is also stored on the device. Form text may also be held locally to restore your screen after a rotation or interruption. You can remove a saved vehicle using Garage > Remove saved vehicle. Clearing the app's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app removes its local data. Android cloud backup is disabled for this app.

Quote requests and communications

The quote form prepares a message using details you enter. You review it and choose WhatsApp or email. Opening a communication app does not itself send the message; you decide whether to send it there. If you send a message, JLM Tuning and the selected communication provider receive the information you include, together with contact information supplied by that provider, such as your email address or WhatsApp account details. We use enquiries to discuss compatibility, answer questions and provide requested services. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information, passwords or payment card details.

External website, store and other links

The app opens jlmtuning.com, the store, maps and social pages in your browser or another app. These services may process technical information, cookies, contact, order and payment information under their own policies. The native Android app does not process your payment card information, read your browser history or receive payment details from checkout. Review the relevant service's policies before using it. The app opens the phone dialer when you choose to call; it does not place a call automatically.

GPS speed and timing

Drive is optional. When you tap Enable GPS and grant precise location permission, the app uses foreground GPS location and speed readings to display a speedometer and estimate acceleration timing. GPS updates stop when you stop GPS, leave Drive or put the app in the background. There is no background location permission or background location service. GPS coordinates, speed readings and acceleration results are not uploaded or saved to disk. Live readings, acceleration results and manual stopwatch laps are held temporarily in memory and are cleared when the app process ends. You can reset the lap stopwatch in Drive. Revoking location permission in Android settings disables GPS features; the other app features remain available.

Permissions, tracking and sharing

This version requests approximate and precise foreground location permissions only for the optional Drive GPS feature. It does not access contacts, camera, microphone, call history, advertising ID or vehicle systems. It contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, in-app account system or background tracking. The app does not sell or transmit your saved local vehicle profile. Information is shared with a communication provider or external service when you choose to use that service. The app does not automatically send quote requests or upload vehicle details.

Business records and retention

Messages and information you voluntarily send to JLM Tuning are separate from the app's local Garage. We retain enquiry and service records for as long as needed to respond, provide services, meet applicable legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes or protect against misuse. To request access, correction or deletion of information held by JLM Tuning, email info@jlmtuning.com. We may need to verify your request and retain records where required or permitted by law. Removing the app's local data does not delete a message already sent through WhatsApp, email or another provider. Contact those providers about records they control.

Security

The app uses Android's private app storage for its local vehicle profile. External links configured in the app use HTTPS; email and phone actions use the receiving apps. Protect your device and review the privacy and security settings of services you use. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

The app is a vehicle-service companion and is not directed to children under 13. The native app does not operate a registration system or automatically collect children's personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information to JLM Tuning, contact us using the details below.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or our processing changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material new app data processing will be reflected in the app and applicable Google Play disclosures.
